If you have read my blog on using turmeric and activated charcoal to whiten teeth, you will know that they both worked a treat. Both are incredibly messy, staining clothes, hands, the sink and just about everything else so it was a surprise to discover they almost miraculously remove stains from teeth. I balked at the idea of a charcoal face mask, but it was marvellous.
What about turmeric though? It’s supposed to be fantastic for the skin – rejuvenating, anti-ageing, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory, so it’s good for wrinkles, acne, rosacea and removing dead skin cells. That sounds all very well and good but I have also read somewhere that it leaves you looking a little yellow. Yikes.
As I didn’t need to show my face in public for a couple of days and in the interests of beautiful skin everywhere, I decided to give it a bash.
The verdict? No discernible staining and my skin felt pretty darn good – soft and happy.
I have to say this was by far the best tasting (and smelling) mask I have ever tried. It’s probably worth doing on a regular basis for cumulative results.
